Overview
Peanut Tennis is an Australia-focused web directory for competitive tennis, combining court discovery with sanctioned tournament listings. It is designed to help players locate nearby venues—including free park courts—and identify upcoming events by state, age group, and date.
Key Features
- Court directory: The site indexes 3,737 venues, with 1,361 designated free park courts. Listings emphasize nearest-first results and details such as lights, surface, and court access; city pages highlight free courts in Melbourne (152) and Sydney (174).
- Tournament listings: Peanut Tennis tracks 149 upcoming sanctioned tournaments across Australia. State-level counts are shown for VIC, QLD, NSW, SA, WA, ACT, and TAS, and the directory supports browsing by state, age group, and date. The homepage also notes that entrants can be seen before the draw is released.
- Practical guides: The guides section covers UTR, competition tiers, ball colours, and first-tournament basics, while the rules area translates association by-laws into plain English.
- Help and navigation: Dedicated FAQ, rules, and state tournament pages make the site easier to scan. It is explicitly independent and states that it is not affiliated with Tennis Australia or UTR Sports.
