Listing Guidelines
What we stand for and what we look for in every submission.
Our Mission
Toolfio exists to connect people with genuinely useful businesses, tools, and services. We believe a directory is only as valuable as the quality of what it lists. Every entry we approve is a recommendation we stand behind.
Quality Over Quantity
We don't aim to list everything. We aim to list what's worth finding. A smaller directory of high-quality listings serves our visitors far better than an endless catalogue of mediocre ones. If your product solves a real problem and does it well, it belongs here.
Transparency First
Every listing should accurately represent what the product or service does. No exaggerated claims, no misleading descriptions, no bait and switch. If your offering has a free tier, say so. If it's paid, be upfront about pricing. Honesty builds trust — both with us and with the people who discover you through our directory.
Supporting Indie Makers & Small Teams
We have a soft spot for bootstrapped founders, solo developers, and small teams building real products. You don't need a massive marketing budget or a venture-backed company to get listed. What matters is the product itself — its usefulness, its craft, and the care behind it.
What We Look For
- A working product. We list live products and services, not landing pages for upcoming launches or ideas in progress.
- A clear value proposition. Visitors should immediately understand what your product does and who it's for.
- A professional presence. Your website should be functional, reasonably polished, and free of broken pages or placeholder content.
- Original work. We list original products and services. Clones, copycats, or reskinned templates without meaningful differentiation won't be approved.
What We Don't List
- Products or services that are misleading, deceptive, or harmful.
- Websites that exist solely for SEO manipulation or link farming.
- Content that violates applicable laws or promotes illegal activity.
- Gambling, adult content, or otherwise restricted categories.
Our Commitment to You
When you submit to Toolfio, we commit to reviewing your listing fairly and promptly. If we decline a submission, we'll tell you why. If something needs fixing, we'll let you know what to improve. We're not gatekeepers for the sake of it — we're curators who want to see you succeed.
Questions about whether your product is a good fit? Reach out via our contact page before submitting. We're happy to help.
