## About MindHits

## Overview
MindHits is a browser-based assessment platform offering fifteen psychology questionnaires derived from published, public-domain instruments. It positions itself as a transparent alternative to invented online personality quizzes, with source citations and scoring logic exposed for each test.

## Key Features
- **Published instruments with named sources**: The library includes Big Five IPIP-50, Mini-IPIP, IPIP-NEO-120, Rosenberg Self-Esteem, WHO-5, GAD-7, RIASEC, and Dark Triad SD3. Each item set identifies its origin and license.
- **Visible scoring arithmetic**: Results report raw totals and possible ranges, apply reverse-keying according to published keys, and cite established cutoffs where they exist. The platform avoids percentile claims without appropriate population norms.
- **Local-only processing**: Answers are scored and stored in the browser, with no account, email field, or server-side record required. A stated trade-off is that clearing site data or changing devices removes prior results.
- **Practical test selection**: Durations range from two to twenty minutes across a 436-question library spanning personality, wellbeing, career interests, and cognitive reflection. Progress saving supports longer assessments, and automated tests cover scoring, reverse keying, and skipped-question handling.
